Hi!
My name is Gatis Sluka. I was born in 1979 at Rauna, Latvia.
My first cartoon in a newspaper was published in 1993.
Since 1998 I am working at the newspaper “Latvijas Avize”, drawing cartoons in the sports newspaper – “Sporta Avize” and also in magazine “FHM”.
In 2005 I received a Master’s degree in graphic fine art at Art Academy of Latvia.
Since 2001 I have participated in cartoon and caricature exhibitions in Latvia, The Netherlands, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Greece, India, Belgium, Mexico and print art exhibitions in Latvia, Estonia and Russia.
In 2005 I received Award for the best montage and Audience award in film amateur festival “Ahuns”, Latvia.

I won Third Prize in UMO – 4th International Cartoon contest 2008 in India.
In 2006 my cartoon and caricature book “Gatis Sluka. Karikaturas” came out.
